about
I wrote this after a phone call with my mom. I was struggling with a relationship and seeking her advise. After the phone call, I was inspired to write a song about my mom.
Moms are pretty smart., We all should just to listen to them a little more. . Hope you like it! :).
lyrics
Thomas was my first love and I thought hey this is fun
But my Mama swore up and down that he wasn't the one
Now Thomas he tried with all of his might
to keep me but his grip became a little bit too tight.
He'd look over my shoulder yeah he was a controller
so I had to break it off with him in late October.
My mama knows me better than I know myself
wonder if we'll last for ever? better ask her yourself.
cause my mama knows better. Yeah my mama knows better.
My mama knows me better than I know myself.
Then Johnny came around made me no longer by myself
but my mama said you're wasting time go find somebody else
But Johnny he was sweet as sweet as can be
But Johnny he couldn't quite sweep me off my feet
He was tall dark and handsome. Real good at romancin'
but I couldn't put a finger on exactly what was missin'.
My mama knows me better than I know myself
wonder if we'll last for ever? better ask her yourself.
cause my mama knows better. Yeah my mama knows better. My mama knows me better than I know myself.
Oh but now I know whoever's next
how I can put love to the test
I'll take them home and remember
that Mama knows best!
My mama knows me better than I know myself
wonder if we'll last for ever? better ask her yourself.
cause my mama knows better. Yeah my mama knows better.
Oh my mama knows me better than I know myself. Wonder if
we'll last forever? better ask her yourself. cause My mama knows me better. Yeah my mama knows better. My mama knows me better than I know myself.
